Trestleboard ASHLER LODGE March 2009

Greetings from the East,

The next few months will be a busy month for the lodge. We have another great opportunity to become involved with the city of Bothell. Bothell is celebrating its Centennial this year; Ashler Lodge should be an integral part of this event. I would encourage the brethren to come to the meeting with ideas and be prepared to get involved. The time to stand up and step forward and be a part of something great is at hand; there are still many opportunities for every brother to become involved.

I offer up a hearty thank you to all the Brethren who came out for February’s street clean-up. These events are growing and the brothers are really having a good time at these events. The weather was perfect, perhaps a bit brisk, but very sunny.

Another quick reminder that the Grand Master’s Visit to District 2 will be held March 28th at Lakeside Masonic Center (Note the change in venue) starting at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $15, dress is suits, and ladies are always welcome. See the WM for tickets.

February was a great month and I look forward to seeing you all in March.

Thank you to all the brethren who came out and participated and supported the Fellowcraft Degree we held this last month for our brother Gary McPherson as he continues his journey seeking more light in Masonry. If you haven’t been to a degree lately, I highly encourage everyone to come out and see what your lodge is doing to make these degrees an amazing and memorable experience for everyone. Thank you to WB David Burns, WM of Yancey C. Blalock #265, for coming out and sharing a poignant and moving story during refreshments after the second degree was held.
